Ethical Clothing Australia
This jean was manufactured in a facility accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA). ECA works with local clothing, textile and footwear businesses to help protect the rights of Australian garment workers. All our jeans are made right here in Australia and this accreditation ensures our local manufacturing facility is transparent and legally compliant with Australian workplace laws. It certifies that all the workers in the facility are being paid appropriately and have safe working conditions.
PETA-Approved Vegan
This jean is also PETA-Approved Vegan certified. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is the largest animal rights organisation in the world. This certifies that our jeans are made without any animal products, so they are free from materials such as leather, silk, wool and cashmere. Our brand patch on the back of each pair of our jeans is made from a material called jacron (made from cellulose), instead of the traditional leather patch.
The Elwood Skinny jean is true to size, so we recommend selecting the size you would normally wear in jeans. However, if the size you select isn’t the perfect fit, we offer free returns and exchanges on all orders within Australia.

The denim is made from ethical and sustainable materials including organic cotton certified by Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and recycled polyester made from post-consumer plastic bottles.
We chose to use a denim that contains organic cotton rather than conventional cotton as it requires less water and is grown without the use of synthetic chemicals, reducing cotton farmers exposure to these harsh substances.
Recycled polyester is an innovative fabric made from discarded plastic bottles, helping to reduce the amount of plastic in landfill.
The denim has been lightly faded by a sustainable manual brushing technique, minimising our impact on the planet.
Denim Composition:
92% Organic Cotton
6% Recycled Polyester
2% Elastane
Vegan brand patch: Jacron, made from cellulose.
Care Instructions:
We recommend washing your jeans less to reduce water and energy usage, benefiting the environment. However, when you do wash them, please follow the below:
Wash them inside out with similar colours to preserve the dark colour.
- Do not bleach.
- It is best to air dry your jeans, but you can tumble dry on low if required.
- Due to the amount of stretch in the denim, soon after wearing the jeans any creases will disappear, but you can iron on low if required.

Are your jeans true to size?
Yes they are, so we recommend selecting the size you would normally wear in jeans.
How do I choose what size to order?
We have a couple of options to help you find your perfect size jean, see below:
- When you visit any of our product pages for our Jeans, below the size options you will see a blue button that says 'What's my size?' Click on this and enter in your height and weight to use MySizeID and find out the right jean size for you.
- If you know your measurements or you know what size jean you normally wear, then you can refer to our Size Guide which shows AU/UK clothing sizes, the equivalent denim size and the corresponding waist and hip measurements for each. Please note, if your waist and hip measurements are different sizes, we recommend selecting the size in the middle.
- Book a complimentary Virtual Appointment with a member of our team. We will guide you through how to measure yourself and help determine the perfect size jean for you! All you need is your phone and a tape measure.
However if you’re still not sure, feel free to email us at info@keeperdenim.com and we will be more than happy to help you!
Will your jeans shrink or stretch?
Like with all denim jeans they will relax with wear, however when you wash them, they will return to their original size.
What packaging will you use when you ship my jeans?
We hand wrap your items
in recyclable, acid free tissue paper made from recycled materials and sourced from Noissue. We then seal it with a branded adhesive label printed with environmentally friendly inks and toners by PrintTogether and place them in a recyclable cardboard box, to be delivered to your door.
What is organic cotton?
The organic cotton crop uses a lot less water than conventional cotton and it is also grown without the use of toxic synthetic chemicals. Ensuring farmers work in safer conditions and the negative impact on the environment is reduced.
Where is your denim made?
Our Denim is sourced from ISKO, one of the world’s largest denim mills. It is from their Earth Fit Range, which includes a selection of denims they have developed specifically with a focus on sustainability. The denim is manufactured at their mill located in İnegöl, Turkey.
