HOW TO FALL BACK IN LOVE WITH YOUR WARDROBE

Sometimes, I feel like I have nothing to wear when I look in my wardrobe, even though it’s full of clothes, can you relate to this feeling? You know - the old jacket that’s at the back of your wardrobe, you haven’t worn it in a while, and you now can’t remember what you used to pair it with. It all seems like too much effort, so you think to yourself - I need a new jacket! The trouble with this mindset is you end up disposing of your old clothes and purchasing new pieces, which contributes to over consumption and the creation of unnecessary waste.

That’s why we at KEEPER Denim have given this some serious thought, and come up with a list of our top 5 tips on…

HOW TO FALL BACK IN LOVE WITH YOUR WARDROBE

  1. Pair Pieces Together

The key here is to focus on pairing items in your wardrobe that you haven’t worn together before. This will really spark your creativity and creates some new looks that you never knew existed right in your very wardrobe!

  1. Rearrange Your Wardrobe

When it’s time to get dressed in the morning, we’re often on autopilot and don’t focus on the pieces that we are reaching for in our wardrobe. The tops that we always wear are in the same place and you just reach for them automatically. To overcome this, try rearranging your wardrobe - put your tops in a different location, move things from the back to the front so you can see pieces that you might have forgotten that you had.

  1. Pinterest

Pinterest is a great source for inspiration when it comes to putting new looks together. Try searching for pieces you have in your wardrobe such as a chunky sweater and see how other people have styled it, what they have paired it with. Pin these images to a board and then refer to them whenever you need some new ides for putting looks together.

  1. The 30-Day Challenge

This is a great way to get your creativity flowing. All you do is select 20 different items in your wardrobe and wear only those items for 30 days. Once the 30 days are up, you can repeat the process with a selection of another 20 pieces in your wardrobe. This will force you to wear items that you own that you may not have worn for a long time, and who knows – maybe you’ll find your next favourite look by trying this little experiment!

  1. Plan Your Outfit in Advance

This is something I always like to do before I get dressed for the day. When you set aside a small amount of time to decide what you want to wear, you can avoid the auto pilot dressing where you just grab the closest items to you.
